Feedback from the day

hi,we had a great time at your trec comp last weekend,a big thank you to all your helpers.
the one thing that could be improved on if you do another trec comp would be to have water available  for the horses at checkpoints
yours
Bev Stevens

hi Luci
big thanks to you and everyone who was involved yesterday, I was a fab day
best wishes for your pregnancy.....no wonder you were driving about...it was well hidden til you got out the car! lol
nice POR, not to taxing on the brain which makes for a much nicer ride, especially at level 1, great COP and PTV some interesting touches...ridge and furrow, not quite sure about how we attack that but Tom just went for it anyway, he loved it!!
once again thanks
Julie

Just wanted to say thanks for a fabulous day! my boy loved the PTV & tried lots of things I didn't think he'd do,( kicked alot of poles with being too keen as well, you can't win)
The PoR was great fun,  made a silly mistake near the end but had lots of fields to canter through & nearly made up the time, need to get him used to those orienteering markers, something new to spook at!!

Dear Luci and team,
I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed yesterday's Trec event and to ask how I can go about getting Lance's and my scores and the results of the competition. If you need me to send an SAE, please let me know to whom I should send it. ( see above for details - Ali)
It was a great day, I thoroughly enjoyed all the elements. The ride was a super first level outing and I was struck by just how nice everyone was, judges and competitors alike. I shall definately be recommending Trec to my many horsey friends!
Please pass on my thanks again to everyone involved for a fabulous day. Look forward to the next one!
Roseanne Edwards

Hi Jasmine
I just wanted to say thank you very much to all of you who were involved in organising the trec this weekend.  My friend Dee and I had such a lovely day.  We felt it was extremely well organised and we thoroughly enjoyed the stunning countryside on the POR.
Many thanks again
Nicky Saunders

Sunday 19th April saw the third stage of the BHS Warwickshire County's Trec Series, an Indoor Trec competition at Onley Grounds Equestrian Centre near Rugby.

The competition was held at the brand new 75 x 40 metre indoor arena at Onley Grounds which proved to be an excellent venue, especially for the competitors who took advantage of the opportunity to fit Trec and show jumping competitions into one day!

The Open class was well attended with competitors travelling from as far afield as Essex. The class was very competitive with five of the top six places being within five points.

Daniel Nolan, member of the GB Trec Team, picked up first place and a gift pack of award winning real ales from the event sponsor, local Purity Brewery Co from Alcester. Mary Weston picked up the special award for the highest placed BHS member, the prize for which was a half pint glass again from Purity.
During the judges' well earned lunch break the course was adjusted for the Newcomers class and a guided course walk was conducted to allow new competitors to check the finer details of the rules.

After a slightly late start the Newcomers class got under way and ran smoothly. A number of riders were entering a Trec competition for the first time which was great to see.

Chantal Van Den Broek kindly took on the role of photographer for the afternoon and her work can be viewed at by clicking here if you would like to get copies of any of the photographs taken then please contact the event organiser, Anna, on anna@bhswarwickshire.org.uk who will pass on Chantal's contact details.

Julie Allsop won the class riding her 14.1hh ponyThomas with Susannah Lee from Coventry on Daisy picking up second place and highest placed BHS member. Overall the day was very successful for our first event and we look forward to running another in the future.

Anna would like to express her most sincere gratitude to all the helpers and judges who kindly gave up their free time either on the day or prior and post the competition fetching the necessary equipment from the North. Without their help the day could not have run so successfully and for that I, and I'm sure all the competitors, are extremely grateful.
