The Register of BHS Approved Riding Instructors has been published to benefit both Instructors and the public. |

For the Instructor it provides
Public acknowledgement of a commitment to provide sound, safe instruction based on training necessary to achieve a world – wide recognised professional qualification.
- A comprehensive group insurance policy (may not apply for instructors on the category B, please see below).
- Discounts for a wide range of training courses.
- Publicity. |

For the Public it provides
Confirmation that those listed are qualified as stated, are covered by public liability insurance (may not apply for instructors on the category B, please see below) and have signed their agreement to a Code Of Conduct.
- Confirmation that those registered hold either a current Health & Safety First Aid at Work Certificate or Equine Specific First Aid Certificate and also a Child Protection Certificate.
- A means to find an instructor in a given area
- Reassurance that instruction for a risk activity is given by a trained professional instructor well versed in safe practise. |
